Stay in Périgueux

Located in the center of Périgord, Périgueux (prefecture) is an ideal base for exploring the whole region. A city steeped in history, it was founded over 2000 years ago. It has more than 40 monuments classified in its districts dating from different eras: Gallo-Roman and Medieval-Renaissance. Witnesses to these different eras, many vestiges and monuments are still there to bear witness to this rich past.

You will have to get lost in the city to discover all its treasures, such as the Saint-Front Cathedral, the Mataguerre Tower, the Vesone garden, the Saint-Etienne Church or the traditional market held on the Place du Coderc.

The Vesunna museum, the Military museum and the MAAP (Museum of Art and Archeology of Périgord) are also essential elements

To learn more about the city, we recommend the Terra Aventura, two surprising treasure hunts.
